Description
Odem Volcanic Merlot is a kosher Merlot from Odem Mountain Winery on the Golan Heights, grown in volcanic soils. The standard 750ml bottle is a convenient size for sharing at dinner.
Merlot is generally medium- to full-bodied and soft in texture, with ripe plum, black cherry and a touch of cocoa or herbs, finishing smooth with supple tannins. It is an easy-drinking red that suits many tastes. Because style and oak treatment vary by producer, the exact balance of fruit, spice and tannin may differ from bottle to bottle, but the overall impression should be a friendly, food-oriented red.
Serve slightly cool with roast chicken, burgers, pasta in red sauce or mushroom dishes. This wine is kosher. It is also a good bottle to bring to a dinner or a holiday table.
