Description
Old City Arak is a traditional anise spirit with balanced licorice and herbal character, made in the style of the Levant.
Typical of arak, expect a pronounced anise and licorice aroma, a smooth, dry, herbal palate and a long, warming finish. Arak is usually enjoyed slowly and in company, so it is best poured generously for a table of friends.
Serve it the traditional way: pour a measure into a glass, add cold water until it turns milky white, and finish with ice. It pairs well with mezze, grilled meats and salty dishes. Keep the bottle cool and serve with plenty of ice water for the traditional experience.
