Description
Pasqua Amarone is an Amarone della Valpolicella from Italy's Veneto, made in the region's tradition and aged in oak barrels. The standard 750ml bottle is a convenient size for sharing at dinner.
Amarone is a rich, full-bodied red made from partially dried grapes, with black cherry, raisin, dark chocolate and spice, with firm structure and a long, warm finish. Because style and oak treatment vary by producer, the exact balance of fruit, spice and tannin may differ from bottle to bottle, but the overall impression should be a friendly, food-oriented red.
Serve at cool room temperature, after decanting, with braised meats, aged cheeses or on its own. It is also a good bottle to bring to a dinner or a holiday table.
