Description
Penelope Private Select 10 Year is a non-chill-filtered blend of straight bourbons distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, made from a mash bill of 74% corn, 20% rye, 1% wheat and 5% malted barley. This selection is bottled at 102.2 proof as a private barrel pick, which gives it a character a little different from the regular lineup.
The nose shows vanilla, caramel, raspberry cream and cinnamon. On the palate expect toffee, honey and stone fruit, finishing with cinnamon graham cracker and a bit of rye spice.
Sip it neat, or use it in a bourbon cocktail where you want sweetness and structure. An old fashioned shows off the caramel and spice well.
