Description
Petergoff Spirytus is a very high-proof rectified spirit at 96% alcohol by volume, sold in a 1.75L bottle. It is typically used for infusions, tinctures, and homemade liqueurs rather than sipping.
Straight from the bottle it is extremely strong, with a sharp, clean alcohol aroma and a neutral palate. It should be diluted before drinking. Spirits at this strength are used in the Polish and wider Eastern European tradition to make nalewki (fruit liqueurs), herbal extracts, and cordials, where the neutral base lets the infused ingredient take center stage.
