Description
Psagot Merlot is a kosher red wine from Israel's Psagot Winery, made for ripe blackberry and plum flavors with a hint of spice. A 750ml bottle serves about five glasses. A dependable choice for weeknight dinners, family gatherings, holiday meals, hosting guests or a relaxed evening at home.
Tasting profile: Merlot is typically soft and round, with ripe plum, black cherry and a touch of spice or cocoa, supple tannins and a smooth, easy finish.
Serve at about 60 to 65°F with roast chicken, pork, pasta with red sauce or a cheese board. Pour it in clean glasses, and let the bottle settle a few minutes after opening. This wine is kosher. Once opened, reseal the bottle and keep it refrigerated; it will hold its character for several days, so there is no need to finish it in one sitting.
