Description
Rhum Barbancourt 8 Year is a delicate rhum agricole-style rum from Haiti, distilled from fresh sugarcane juice and aged eight years in oak.
Expect notes of vanilla, dried fruit and spice, a smooth, balanced palate, and a gentle, lingering finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Sip it neat or on the rocks. Pour it neat or over a single large cube so you can taste how it evolves, and consider pairing it with dark chocolate or a good cigar. It makes a fine gift for rum drinkers and works well as a step up from everyday sipping rums.
