Description
Ron Abuelo Añejo is a Panamanian rum aged in oak, a smooth, easy-drinking añejo.
Expect notes of vanilla, caramel and baking spice, a smooth, medium-bodied palate, and a warm finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Mix it with cola or ginger beer, or sip it over ice. Sip it slowly, with a few drops of water if you like, and pair it with dark chocolate, nuts, or aged cheese. It makes a fine gift for rum drinkers and works well as a step up from everyday sipping rums.
