Description
Ron Zacapa 23 Year Solera is a Guatemalan rum aged through the solera system at high altitude.
Expect a smooth aroma honeyed with caramel and fruit, a sweet, mouth-warming palate with hints of oak, and a long finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Best sipped neat or over a large ice cube. Pour it neat or over a single large cube so you can taste how it evolves, and consider pairing it with dark chocolate or a good cigar. It makes a fine gift for rum drinkers and works well as a step up from everyday sipping rums.
