Description
Sauza Hornitos Reposado rests for two months in large oak vats, which keeps wood contact minimal and the agave taste lively. This 1L bottle suits margaritas and party batches.
Rested in oak, a reposado sits between a blanco and an añejo. Typical of the style, expect cooked agave and light vanilla on the nose, soft caramel and gentle baking spice on the palate, and a smooth, mellow finish. The short time in oak softens the edges without hiding the agave, which is why reposados are a favorite for both sipping and mixing.
Sip it neat or over a large cube, or use it in a margarita, a paloma or a tequila Old Fashioned. It pairs well with grilled meats, carnitas, mole and tacos al pastor.
