Description
This is a grappa, an Italian-style spirit distilled from the pomace left after pressing grapes, bottled in 750ml.
Expect a clear, aromatic spirit with fresh grape and herbal notes, a clean, spirity palate and a dry finish, typical of grappa. Fruit and pomace spirits like this are typically unaged or lightly aged, so the character of the base ingredient stays front and center. They are traditionally served in small glasses after a meal, slightly chilled rather than ice cold, to let the aromas open.
Serve in small glasses, lightly chilled, as a digestif after dinner or with a strong espresso. Pair with cheese, cured meats, nuts or a strong espresso, and sip slowly. Store upright in a cool place and reseal tightly after opening.
