Description
Maraska Slivovitz is a traditional plum brandy (rakija) from Croatia, distilled from plums in the Balkan tradition.
Expect ripe plum and almond notes on the nose, a clean, fruit-driven palate with a gentle nutty edge, and a warm, dry finish. Slivovitz is typically served in small pours. As with most liqueurs, the flavor is concentrated and sweet, so a small pour or a splash in a cocktail goes a long way.
Serve it neat at room temperature or lightly chilled in small glasses, after dinner or alongside a meal. Store it upright in a cool, dark place; once opened it keeps well for many months.
