Description
Teperberg Legacy Petit Verdot is a kosher Israeli red from the winery's top-tier Legacy range, made from the Petit Verdot grape. Teperberg Winery was founded in Jerusalem in 1870 and is one of Israel's oldest family-run wineries.
Petit Verdot is typically deeply colored and structured, with blackberry, violet and peppery spice, firm tannins and a long finish. Often used as a blending grape for color and spice, Petit Verdot can also stand on its own as a bold, concentrated red that rewards decanting.
Serve at cool room temperature, around 60 to 65 degrees F, alongside grilled meats, roasts or hard cheeses. Open the bottle about thirty minutes before serving so the wine can breathe and the flavors can show.
