The Prisoner is the wine that led the resurgence of bold California red blends, inspired by the field blends of Napa's early Italian immigrants. The 2022 is built on a core of Zinfandel with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and other varieties, aged in French and American oak. Expect a lush, generous pour of ripe raspberry, blackberry, and dark cherry layered with vanilla, clove, cola, and roasted fig, finishing smooth and long. We pour it with grilled meats and hearty stews, or simply on its own.
