Description
Trapiche Oak Cask Malbec is an Argentine red from Trapiche, one of Mendoza's best-known producers, with oak aging that adds vanilla and spice to the fruit.
Malbec typically shows blackberry, plum and violet aromas, a plush and juicy palate with hints of spice and cocoa, and a smooth finish. The grape's dark color and juicy fruit have made it a favorite for steak nights and barbecues, and it drinks well young without needing much cellaring.
Serve at cool room temperature, around 60 to 65 degrees F, alongside grilled meats, roasts or hard cheeses. Open the bottle about thirty minutes before serving so the wine can breathe and the flavors can show.
