Description
Wemyss Malts The Hive is an 8 year old blended malt Scotch whisky from the independent bottler Wemyss Malts, which composes its blends around flavor themes rather than distillery names. A blended malt combines single malts from several distilleries, with no grain whisky in the mix.
The Hive is built around a sweet, honeyed style. Expect honey and vanilla on the nose, a soft, rounded palate of malt, orchard fruit and gentle spice, and a smooth, mellow finish typical of an approachable 8 year old malt.
Pour it neat or with a drop of water to open it up, or serve over a single large cube. It also works well in a Rob Roy or a Scotch highball.
