Description
Woodinville Bourbon Port Finish begins as the distillery's fully matured five year old straight bourbon, which is then moved into Ruby Port barrels for six additional months. Woodinville Whiskey Co. is based in Washington state.
The Port finishing adds a viscous mouthfeel and notes of candied cherry, dried plums, berries and chocolate on top of the bourbon's traditional vanilla, caramel and oak. The finish is fruity and long.
It is a whiskey for sipping neat, but it also adds a fruity edge to a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
