Description
Yamato Cask Strength is a Japanese whiskey from Yamato, bottled at full cask strength as a special edition. Its taste leans on both youthful energy and some aged character.
Expect hints of vanilla and a touch of herbaceous quality, with a noticeable sweet malt character on the palate and a rich, lingering finish. Because it is bottled undiluted, it is more concentrated than standard-strength whiskey.
Sip it neat, then add a few drops of water to open the aromas. It also adds depth to a Japanese-style highball. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from heat and direct sunlight. A tulip-shaped glass concentrates the aromas, and a few drops of water can open up the flavors.
