Description
Zachlawi Arak is a kosher Israeli-style arak, a clear anise spirit with star anise and herbal character.
Expect star anise and herbs on the nose, a gentle anise palate, and a clean, dry finish. In this category the flavor is dominated by anise and herbs, and the spirit turns cloudy when chilled or diluted with water.
Serve it with cold water or ice (it turns milky), alongside mezze, or in cocktails. Keep it in a cool place; a few ice cubes or a splash of cold water opens up the aroma. It is a traditional companion to shared plates, olives, nuts and grilled meats.
