Description
Zubrowka Bison Grass is a Polish vodka flavored with bison grass, a herb that grows in the Bialowieza Forest. A blade of grass is traditionally included in each bottle.
Expect a distinctive herbal nose with notes of fresh hay, vanilla and coconut, a smooth palate and a soft, sweet-grass finish. Because the flavor is restrained, it blends easily without competing with juices, bitters or vermouth, which is why bartenders reach for this style so often.
Serve it chilled, or mix it with apple juice in a Szarlotka, the classic Polish cocktail. It is also good with smoked or cured foods. It also works well alongside salty, savory foods such as smoked salmon, oysters, potato dishes and charcuterie, which is a classic way to enjoy vodka.
