Description
Alex Murray 28 Year is an independently bottled Scotch whisky from the Bunnahabhain distillery on the Isle of Islay, which is known for an unpeated, coastal style. The bottler is Alexander Murray.
Expect honeyed fruit, soft oak and a gentle maritime note, with a smooth, long finish, as is typical of older Bunnahabhain. With a drop of water the aromas open up further and the texture softens, so it rewards a slow pour and a clean tulip or Glencairn glass.
Serve it neat in a tulip glass with a little water, and take your time with it. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, and pour it at room temperature to get the full range of aromas.
