Description
Amrut Peated Malt is an Indian single malt whisky made by Amrut Distilleries in Bangalore from peated barley, bottled in 750ml.
Tasting notes cite sweet cured smoke and malt on the nose, with sweet peat and a touch of caramel, and a fruity palate with smoky depth. With a drop of water the aromas open up further and the texture softens, so it rewards a slow pour and a clean tulip or Glencairn glass.
Sip it neat or with a drop of water. It pairs well with grilled meats and dark chocolate. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, and pour it at room temperature to get the full range of aromas.
