Description
Bellevoye Prune Cask is a triple-malt French whisky finished in plum-brandy (prune) casks. The finishing adds a distinctive fruity sweetness to the malt, a good pick for drinkers who like cask-finished whisky.
Expect rich dried-plum sweetness, honey and warm spice on a silky palate, finishing smooth and gently fruity. Whisky made outside the traditional Scotch, Irish and American regions is often more experimental in cask choice, and can offer an interesting change of pace. It is worth trying side by side with a Scotch to see how the cask and climate shape the flavor.
Sip neat or with a few drops of water, or try it in a Highball with soda. It also makes a thoughtful gift for the whisky fan in your life.
