Description
Don Julio Ultima Extra Añejo is a long-aged extra añejo tequila from Don Julio, the Jalisco house founded by Don Julio González in 1942. Don Julio Ultima is an extra añejo, aged longer than a standard añejo for added depth and refinement. An extra añejo is aged for more than three years, the longest aging category for tequila, and the extra time in wood builds real depth.
Expect deep caramel, dried fruit, toasted oak and warm spice over cooked agave, with a silky texture and a long finish.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a snifter or Glencairn glass, in small pours after dinner. It is a fitting gift for a special occasion. A good pick for collectors and for anyone marking a milestone.
