Description
El Tesoro is one of tequila's most traditional producers, crushing estate-grown Highland agave with a volcanic-stone tahona and fermenting with the fibers for maximum agave character. This 85th Anniversary Extra Añejo celebrates the distillery's legacy with a long rest in oak, delivering concentrated cooked agave, caramel, dried fruit and baking spice over a warm, lingering finish. A benchmark sipping tequila for the enthusiast. An extra añejo is aged for more than three years, the longest aging category for tequila, and the extra time in wood builds real depth.
Sip it slowly and neat, with a few drops of water if you like, alongside dark chocolate or a cigar-style after-dinner pairing. A good pick for collectors and for anyone marking a milestone.
