Description
Fuenteseca 7 Year is a small-batch, barrel-aged 100% blue agave tequila from the same house that pioneered long-aged, cask-finished tequila in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. Seven years of rest in oak develops a concentrated, deeply savory agave character rarely found in tequila. Expect earthy agave, dried fruit and oak on the nose and palate, with a long, warm finish best appreciated sipped neat rather than mixed. An extra añejo is aged for more than three years, the longest aging category for tequila, and the extra time in wood builds real depth.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a snifter or Glencairn glass, in small pours after dinner. It is a fitting gift for a special occasion. A good pick for collectors and for anyone marking a milestone.
