Jack Daniel's Single Barrel 750ml

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel is bottled from individually selected barrels that are matured on the upper floors of the rickhouse, where larger temperature swings tend to deepen color and flavor. Like every Jack Daniel's whiskey, it is charcoal-mellowed through sugar maple before it goes into the barrel.

Expect a richer, more layered pour than the standard Old No. 7: toasted oak, caramel, vanilla and baking spice, with a long, warm finish. Because each bottle comes from a single barrel, small variations from one bottle to the next are part of the appeal. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.

Sip it neat or with a single large cube to appreciate the depth, or use it as the base of an Old Fashioned. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
