Description
Knob Creek is a Kentucky straight bourbon in the Jim Beam Small Batch Bourbon Collection. It is aged for nine years in charred white oak barrels, which gives it a fuller, higher-proof style than many everyday bourbons. This 1.75L bottle is a good size for home bars.
Expect a rich oak aroma, with sweet, woody and slightly fruity flavors and caramel and vanilla, followed by a long, rich finish. Bourbon is made from at least 51 percent corn and matured in new charred oak, which is where much of the vanilla, caramel and toasted wood character comes from.
Pour it neat or over ice, or use it in a Manhattan, Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour. A splash of water or a single large cube can open up the aromas, and it pairs well with barbecue, smoked meats, aged cheddar or dark chocolate.
