Description
Nikka Yoichi is a single malt from the Yoichi Distillery on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, where whisky is still distilled over direct coal fire. That traditional method, together with the cool sea air, gives the whisky its bold, peaty and slightly briny signature.
Peated Japanese malts typically combine smoke and brine with fruit, malt and oak, giving a bold but balanced, lingering finish. Individual bottlings vary, so treat these notes as typical of the style rather than a precise tasting profile for this bottle.
Serve neat, with a few drops of water, or as a smoky highball with soda. It is a good bottle for sipping slowly after dinner. Please drink responsibly. Must be 21 or older to purchase.
