Description
El Tesoro's Mundial Collection: The Laphroaig Edition is a highly limited single-barrel anejo from the celebrated Camarena family, aged first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in casks that previously held Laphroaig 10 Year Old single malt Scotch. The result is a masterful marriage of El Tesoro's rich, agave-forward anejo with Laphroaig's distinctive peat. It offers complex journey, layering cooked agave, butterscotch, and seasoned oak with smoky peat and sea salt that reward patient, contemplative sipping. An añejo is aged in oak for at least a year, which deepens the color and adds layers of vanilla, caramel and spice.
Sip it slowly at room temperature or on the rocks, or stir it into a tequila old fashioned. Try it with churros, dark chocolate or smoked meats. A solid choice for sipping, gifting or anyone stepping up from reposado.
