Description
El Tesoro Extra Añejo is crafted by the Camarena family from 100% blue agave and aged more than three years in oak, the minimum required for the extra añejo category. Long barrel time builds deep notes of caramel, dried fruit and toasted wood over a rich, cooked-agave core. A complex, luxurious sipping tequila best enjoyed neat. An extra añejo is aged for more than three years, the longest aging category for tequila, and the extra time in wood builds real depth.
Sip it slowly and neat, with a few drops of water if you like, alongside dark chocolate or a cigar-style after-dinner pairing. A good pick for collectors and for anyone marking a milestone.
