Description
Fortaleza Blanco is an unaged tequila from the Fortaleza distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, made in a traditional way with a stone tahona, natural fermentation and copper pot stills. It is additive-free and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a hand-blown glass bottle.
Expect sweet cooked agave, fresh herbs and a buttery note, with a smooth, rounded palate and a clean finish.
Sip it neat to appreciate the craft, or use it in a high-end margarita or paloma.
Fortaleza is widely respected among tequila drinkers for its traditional, additive-free approach. Expect a rounded, creamy mouthfeel. Serve it at room temperature in a small glass, or chilled for a crisper pour.
