Description
Grand Mayan Extra Aged is an extra-aged tequila presented in a hand-painted Talavera-style ceramic decanter, each one individually numbered and decorated by artists in Mexico City. The tequila is made from Blue Weber agave cooked in traditional ovens, double distilled in copper pot stills and rested in American oak and French ex-cognac barrels before bottling at 40% ABV.
The nose and palate lean toward sweet nuts, cooked agave and chocolate, with vanilla and caramel from the oak and gentle spice. The finish is long, layered and smooth, more about richness than heat.
Pour it neat at room temperature, or on a single large cube. The decanter also makes it a natural gift for a tequila lover.
