Description
Tequila Mandala Reposado is made from 100% blue agave harvested at maturity and slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens. It is then rested for eight months in French white oak, which gives it a light amber color and a soft, woody character. The brand was founded in 2016 with a focus on sipping tequilas, and it is best known for its hand-painted ceramic bottles.
The nose offers cooked agave, oak and a touch of light raisin. The palate is soft and smooth, with pronounced oak and sweet cooked agave carrying into a lingering finish. The oak is more noticeable than in many reposados, which suits drinkers who like a woodier style.
The 1 liter ceramic bottle is a centerpiece for any bar shelf or collection and makes a memorable gift. Pour it neat or over a large cube, or use it in a spirit-forward cocktail.
