Description
Tequila Ocho Barrel Select Añejo Ferrand Cognac Cask is a limited 2026 release from Tequila Ocho, the single-estate pioneer led by Carlos Camarena. The agave comes from Rancho Las Raices, and the tequila was matured in seasoned French oak casks from Ferrand Cognac, a project that brings together two historic producers.
Expect baked pear, honey and white flowers alongside cooked agave, with cherry, ground cinnamon and salted caramel. A mineral edge and a note of fresh sawdust keep the finish lively. It is bottled at 88.8 proof.
Sip it neat to appreciate how the cognac cask supports rather than overwhelms the agave. It is a good pour for tequila and cognac fans. Pair it with dark chocolate or dried fruit for a relaxed after-dinner pour.
